How Phase Plan builds your sheet

A 40k cheat sheet generator for 11th edition: paste your list, print its stratagems and rules by phase.

What you paste

Paste a Games Workshop app export or a WTC-format list and press Plan. Phase Plan reads it in your browser and never uploads it. It matches each unit by name to its 11th edition datasheet and adds each listed detachment’s stratagems and rules. Space Marine chapters get the Space Marines stratagems and rules, chapter detachments included.

What goes on it

The sheet opens with Pre-battle and Always on, then your turn and your opponent’s, each in phase order from Any phase to End of turn. Phase Plan files stratagems by timing, and abilities and rules by wording. It leaves off stratagems needing a keyword none of your units carry, and prints an ability once when several units share its exact wording.

Printing it

Press Print sheet for two black-and-white columns on A4 or Letter, with a 9mm margin you can untick. A Full sheet prints the rules text. A Brief sheet prints names only: each ability with its units, each stratagem with its CP. Tick a box to add Damaged profiles or Deadly Demise. Click a card to leave it off the paper.

§ Questions

How do I make a 40k cheat sheet for 11th edition?
Paste your army list into Phase Plan and press Plan. It files your stratagems, rules and unit abilities under the phase you use them in, ready to print on A4 or Letter.
Which stratagems go on the 40k stratagem cheat sheet?
Core stratagems plus your detachments’ own, minus any needing a keyword none of your units carry. Stratagems with no keyword requirement, such as Fire Overwatch, start hidden on Full sheets and shown on Brief ones. Command Re-roll starts hidden on both.
Does the 40k phases cheat sheet cover my opponent’s turn?
Yes. Your turn and your opponent’s each get a run of phases, so a stratagem for their Shooting phase sits under that heading.
Why is a unit missing from my Phase Plan?
Phase Plan leaves out any unit whose name matched no 11th edition datasheet. Paste the same list into the converter to see which names failed. A notice names any matched unit with no ability data.
